Welcome to the premiere edition of Nexus!
Nexus is a cutting-edge periodic publication where we explore the frontiers and intersections of Artificial Intelligence, Longevity Intelligence, and Spiritual Intelligence. Together, we navigate these exciting frontiers where mind meets machine, science meets longevity, and ancient wisdom meets modern breakthroughs.
Why Nexus?
There has been a lot of discussions about Artificial Intelligence (AI) recently. Certainly, AI is the most transformative technology ever created and deserves a great deal of attention. AI will expand our collective Intelligence Quotient (IQ) to unimaginable levels. But we all know that humans are more than just our intellect and there is a gap in broadening the discussion to a more holistic approach to being human that explores and elevates our other attributes.
Humans are organic creatures with fragile bodies that deteriorate over time. But with the help of AI, we are achieving new research breakthroughs, increasing our Longevity Intelligence (LI), which amplifies our Body Quotient (BQ).
For most of human history, until the late 19th century, life expectancy was around 30 years of age. Life expectancy has grown dramatically since then and today, in most of the world, you can expect to live into your 70s or 80s. With the help of AI, this longevity curve promises to continue its upward trajectory. The implications to business and society are extraordinary.
We are also emotional beings and our emotions are also fragile, and even erratic. We can’t always count on our emotions to help us make the best decisions. Just like AI enhances our IQ, we need to be able to enhance our Emotional Quotient (EQ). That is where Spiritual Intelligence (SI) comes in.
We develop our Spiritual Intelligence by studying and practicing spiritual principles that have been effective in guiding us for thousands of years. Spiritual principles are universal and timeless. They have been taught by philosophers, theologians, and prophets for thousands of years. Today, science confirms that these principles help us develop capabilities that lead to a happier, healthier, and abundant life. They include: Empathy, gratitude, forgiveness, generosity, peacemaking, discipline, truthfulness, honor, maturity and wisdom.
We bring this all together with a simple formula: IQ ^ AI + BQ ^ LI + EQ ^ SI. In plain English, we elevate our Intelligence Quotient to the power of Artificial Intelligence, our Body Quotient to the power of Longevity Intelligence, and our Emotional Quotient to the power of Spiritual Intelligence.

Harvard scientists find another secret to longevity: Feeling grateful
Gratitude is one the spiritual principles that strengthen our Spiritual Intelligence. One of its benefits is that it lowers the risk of mortality. In a 2024 Harvard study involving more than 49,000 women (average age 79), those who reported feeling the most grateful had a 9% lower risk of dying over the following three-year period.
